Designs of medical web applications at KSYOS TeleMedical Center
Feb 2007 - Feb 2010
At KSYOS TeleMedical Center I design web applications for medical users, focusing on usability, functionality and realisability.
These web applications are used by general practitioners to consult a specialist in a hospital. The application most used is TeleDermatology, where the GP makes photos of a skin problem and sends these to the dermatologist. Other specialisms in which these applications are applied are ophthalmology, spirometry and cardiology. The applications aim to increase efficiency and decrease costs in health care, and can be applied both in densely populated areas with long waiting lists and in remote areas with lack of knowledge and equipment.
I gather requirements of business and users to translate these into a usability and functionality design. I create a mockup (see examples with their end products above), write the requirements and hand these to the external programmers. From then I manage the project and check the delivered product.
